Anjali Tiku Owens, MD, is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine, Section of Heart Failure and Transplantation, at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine. Dr. Owens joined the faculty of the Penn Heart and Vascular Center in 2011. She founded the Penn Familial Cardiomyopathy Program in 2011 and serves as the founding Medical Director of the Penn Center for Inherited Cardiac Disease and Director of the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Center of Excellence. She was appointed Director of the Penn Cardiovascular Clinical Research Unit in 2025.
She has a special interest in novel therapies for genetic cardiomyopathy.
